ISS Program at Northeastern Elementary

An event every week that begins at 8:30 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, repeating until May 27, 2022
Eastside Youth Strong partners with SLD Read, an organization that has provided reading support services since 1974. SLD Read has an incredible record of developing confident and successful readers by providing one-on-one tutoring through the third grade.
In addition, Eastside Youth Strong partners with Western Michigan University Occupational Therapy Department to provide additional literacy support by assessing learning styles and sensory activities.
With the support of parents, teachers, tutors and the hard work of each student the ISS program has been able to bring all participating students to grade-level reading by the third grade.
